Before his appointment, Prof. Alo held pivotal positions, including Chairman of the Committee of Deans and Member of the Governing Council at the Venite University. His illustrious academic journey is anchored by B.Sc in Zoology (1977), M.Sc in Applied Entomology and Parasitology (1978), and Ph.D. in Applied Entomology (1986). With an extensive portfolio of publications and certifications both locally and internationally, Prof. Alo is a distinguished figure in the global academic community.

Prof. Alo’s career trajectory reflects a steadfast dedication to academic leadership. Beginning as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Jos in 1980, he ascended to professorship at the Federal University of Technology, Yola in 1997. His distinguished record includes serving as Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean of Postgraduate School at FUT Yola, Chairman of the Governing Council at the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, and currently, as a Member of the Governing Council at the University of Ibadan.
