Addressing the new students, Prof. Aduloju described Venite as a rising private university known for its accredited programmes, architectural excellence, and commitment to intellectual growth. He stressed the importance of adhering to university rules, warned against cultism, examination malpractice, and misinformation, and encouraged students to use available support structures, including the Student Affairs Office and the Students’ Programme Representative Forum (SPRF).

Dr. F.T. Akinola, Dean of Student Affairs, highlighted the division’s role in supporting students’ welfare, pointing out services such as counselling, career guidance, ICT facilities, health services, and security. She urged freshers to build meaningful relationships, participate in campus associations, and fully leverage the resources provided for personal and academic development.

Registrar Dr. E.A. Agbaje outlined the university’s vision of producing innovative, globally competitive graduates and emphasised the Venite Spirit, built on excellence, integrity, service, innovation, respect, and discipline. He gave a detailed briefing on the university’s Code of Conduct, demanding academic honesty, responsible behaviour, appropriate dressing, careful use of university property, adherence to hostel rules, and responsible digital conduct. He stressed the zero-tolerance stance on drugs, cultism, violence, and fraud, noting that violations attract sanctions ranging from warnings to expulsion, with fair hearing assured.

Mrs. Gbemisola Aderibigbe, the university bursar, explained the school’s three-installment fee structure: 50 per cent on resumption, 25 per cent before the first semester, and 25 per cent before the second semester, emphasising that all payments must go through the official school portal.

Faculty leaders also delivered targeted guidance to students in specialised programmes. Dr. Mrs. Oye urged medicine and health science students to remain focused due to the intensive workload and professional examinations. Dr. Yusuf encouraged MLS students to cultivate professionalism, while Dr. Mrs. Kolawole assured students of a supportive campus environment. Prof. Bamidele, Provost of the College of Medicine, stressed that academic focus must take precedence over social activities, warning against smoking and other vices, while Prof. Agbele and other department heads reinforced a culture of growth, responsibility, and engagement.

Mr. Remi Temola, University ICT Officer, joined the session to guide freshers on seamless course registration through the school portal, walking them step by step to ensure they could navigate the system confidently and avoid common errors.

The session included a dynamic Q&A, allowing students to clarify doubts about campus life, rules, and academic expectations. The day concluded with a briefing from Hon. Dapo Kolawole, Director of Strategy, Advancement and Partnership, who highlighted recent university achievements, ongoing developments, and rewarded students who demonstrated exceptional understanding of the school’s policies and services.

Freshers leave Day One equipped with clear expectations, a firm grasp of institutional values, and a roadmap for navigating their first year at Venite University, setting a tone of ambition, responsibility, and academic excellence for the 2025/2026 session.
