Venite University Matriculates 406 Students on Historic Third Ceremony

On March 5th, 2026, Venite University marked a historic moment by matriculating 406 students, the highest enrolment in the institution’s history. The event symbolized a new chapter of growth and excellence for the university.

The ceremony drew a distinguished gathering of academics, industrialists, and leaders, including Vice-Chancellors from Ekiti State University, Federal University Oye, Hillside University of Science and Technology, University of Offa, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education and Technology, Landmark University, and other notable institutions. Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Olabisi Aina, members of the Governing Council, Hon. Dapo Kolawole, Dr. Adenike Kolawole, Dr. Olabode Adetoyi, alongside traditional rulers, religious and political leaders, graced the occasion.

“Our vision is to build a university that stands on honesty and innovation, anchored on the values of disciplina, notitia, industria, and ingenium,” stated Vice-Chancellor Professor Charity O. Aremu. She emphasized that Venite University is focused on innovative teaching and learning, expanding translational research, deepening global collaborations, and driving digitalisation and sustainability.

Prof. Aremu highlighted the importance of equipping students with competitive skills for a rapidly evolving global environment. She reminded the matriculants that their journey at Venite University is more than academic; it is about developing character, creativity, and problem-solving capacity.

“This is more than a ceremony; it is a commitment to shaping leaders who will impact society positively,” Prof. Aremu added, noting the university’s focus on nurturing socially responsible and innovative graduates.

The Vice-Chancellor celebrated the university’s milestones, including the approval of 48 academic programmes by the National Universities Commission, ongoing partnerships with global technology organisations such as Microsoft and Cisco, and growing research contributions from academic staff.

She also highlighted the development of modern laboratories, e-library systems, and digital learning infrastructure, positioning the institution as a hub for cutting-edge education and innovation.

Parents, guardians, and well-wishers expressed pride in the university’s learning environment and infrastructure. The event also featured goodwill messages from JAMB representatives, university dons, community leaders, and other stakeholders, reinforcing the institution’s growing influence and network.

The ceremony reflected a spirit of celebration, optimism, and purpose. Matriculants were formally admitted, taking their oath to uphold the values and reputation of Venite University.

Traditional rulers and religious leaders offered prayers, charging the students to approach their academic journey with diligence, focus, and moral responsibility.
