VENITE UNIVERSITY MOVES TO STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP WITH OAU IN DRIVING ACADEMIC GROWTH AND INNOVATIONS
Management of Venite University Iloro-Ekiti has paid a strategic working visit to Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife as part of ongoing efforts to build strong academic partnerships across critical disciplines.
The Vice Chancellor of OAU, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire, received the delegation alongside members of his management team and expressed delight at the visit.

Leading the Venite University delegation was the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Professor Olabisi Aina, who described the visit as both historic and deeply symbolic. She stated that it was with great honour and a deep sense of institutional pride that she led the Venite management team on the strategic working visit to OAU, which she described as the referee mother university to Venite University as designated by the National Universities Commission.
Professor Aina expressed profound gratitude for the role played by the leadership of OAU in the academic and institutional development that has translated to global university partnership.
She further noted that these leaps strongly aligns with the vision of Venite, in training students for global relevance and hence the need for structured and strategic collaboration.
According to the Vice-Chancellor in her presentation, Venite University is strongly committed to promoting institutional governance, quality assurance, and sustainable systems that will position the university as a centre of excellence in Medical Sciences, Technology, Computing Science, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Arts, Management, and other academic areas. She noted that the emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence, medical innovations, and other critical academic fields including Computing Science, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Sciences, Health Sciences, Arts, Management, and the Sciences calls for multidisciplinary research approach. She acknowledged that these areas of teaching can be greatly enriched with palpable innovations through partnership with OAU.
She emphasised the importance of collaboration, stating, “Your network gives value to your net worth,” while emphasizing the support of OAU in strengthening Venite University’s academic network and foundation cannot be overemphasized.
In his response, Professor Bamire warmly welcomed the delegation, describing OAU as home to Venite University noting the trajectory of the Pro-Chancellor. He assured the visiting team of the institution’s readiness to support Venite University to the highest level, stating emphatically “OAU is there for you.” He noted that the university has a long-standing tradition of supporting the growth and development of other institutions, to which Venite University is inclusive.
The Vice Chancellor therefore, requested for the formal collaboration process, through a strategic memorandum of understanding. Noting that this would provide a structured framework for the effective take off and sustainability of the partnership between OAU and venite.
Gifts were exchanged as seal of a mutual relationship.
